Weapon Tier List — The Lost Front
S–F style rankings with damage, RPM, and role notes for every major gun.
This Weapon Tier List ranks the main arsenal in The Lost Front by real match impact: time-to-kill in trenches, magazine forgiveness, cost, and how well a gun fits class roles. Stats below use the common head / upper / lower damage style players share. Always confirm prices in your shop—balance patches and the 2026 attachments mega-update on Updates can move a gun a letter. Dress winners with optics and grips from the Attachments Guide.
Watch the embedded full weapon tier video mid-page for visual recoil and range demos, then come back here for text rankings you can skim between matches. Deep system notes belong on the weapons guide; ready kits live on Best Loadouts.
Ranking rules
- S — Best-in-slot for a common job (CQB, hold, starter climb)
- A — Excellent upgrades that win most fair fights
- B — Strong with a clear niche or pass gate
- C — Usable but outclassed or expensive for what you get
- D / F — Reserved for meme picks or heavily outpaced tools (none of the core rifles sit here today)
Meta narrative in one line: AS-VAL owns CQB, AKS-74U is the compact CQB option, AKS-74 teaches the game, AKM is the honest credit upgrade, RPK / RPD / PKM hold chokes, GL-06 adds launcher utility, scoped DMRs feed Marksman.
S-tier
AS-VAL — $1250 · 20-round mag · 900 RPM
The close-quarters king. Extreme fire rate shreds building clears and trench corners before enemies finish a long-mag spray. The 20-round mag is the tax—reload discipline matters. Pair with Medic or Assault when you live inside objectives. If you can afford it and fight indoors, this is the meta rifle.
RPK — LMG choke control
When the job is deny a bend, RPK’s capacity and sustained pressure beat twitchy SMG energy. Not for every spawn, but S-tier at its job: hold the line so teammates can recapture. Natural home on Machine Gunner and patient Assault anchors. Compare it directly with RPD and PKM below when you main holds.
A-tier
AKM — $850 · 75 / 40 / 30 · 670 RPM
The best all-round paid step up from the free rifle. Higher RPM than AKS-74 with a stronger damage feel in mid fights. Buy this when credits are steady and you are tired of losing 1v1s you should win. Works on Assault and Medic without changing your brain.
PKM — Machine Gunner heavy
PKM is the big brother hold tool. Mount it, pre-aim, and erase pushes. Mobility cost is real—treat it as a portable turret, not a run gun. On the right class and angle, it is A/S border; for generalists it stays A because of how often you must reposition.
RPD — LMG alongside RPK / PKM
RPD sits in the same suppression family as RPK and PKM: belt-fed pressure for chokes, doorway stacks, and recapture lanes. Community showcases treat it as a flexible Machine Gunner primary when you want sustained fire without always paying PKM’s heaviest reposition tax. Rank it A for hold jobs—swap between RPK / RPD / PKM based on lane width and how often you must rotate. Confirm feel after redesign patches; kit rails on Attachments.
AK-12 — 78 / 50 / 38
Hard-hitting profile across ranges. Excellent when you want one rifle that does not collapse at mid-long peeks. Slightly less “brain-off CQB” than AS-VAL, more flexible outdoors. Strong A-tier for players who rotate between trenches and open grass.
AKS-74U — compact CQB carbine
AKS-74U is the attachments-era CQB compact option: shorter handling than full-length AKS-74, built for bunker doorways and trench corners. It does not dethrone AS-VAL’s 900 RPM throne, but it is a strong A-tier carbine when you want compact swings without the AS-VAL mag tax—or when AS-VAL credits are not ready yet. Attach shared optics/grips from the Attachments Guide and recheck damage after stats-menu reworks on Updates.
B-tier
AKS-74 — Free · 70 / 40 / 33 · 600 RPM
Do not sleep on the starter. Free, honest RPM, and enough damage to teach recoil and map timing. It is B on a pure power list and S for progression—master it before you burn credits. Every Getting Started path should include AKS reps.
M16A1 — American Guns pass (399 Robux)
Pass-gated Western flavor with M1911 secondary access. Competitive in the right hands; B-tier overall because of the Robux wall and because AKM/AS-VAL/AKS-74U already cover most needs with credits. Grab it if you like the platform and already own VIP or play a lot.
Scoped Marksman DMRs (SVD / SKS / VSS showcase pool)
Marksman’s scoped rifles define lane control. Community showcases often highlight SVD, SKS, and VSS alongside class defaults. They sit B on a global list because they demand positioning, but they are A/S within the Marksman role. Hold hills, cover pushes, relocate after multi-kills. Details and attachments: weapons guide and Attachments.
GL-06 — launcher utility
GL-06 is ranked here as launcher utility, not a primary identity. Lobbed explosive pressure clears bunkers and capture stacks when RPG-22 timing is awkward or you want a dedicated grenade-launcher feel from the attachments mega-update. B-tier overall because bad arcs punish you in tight trenches; A-tier at the job of deleting huddled defenders. Compare arcs with RPG-22 before you spend every life on boom.
Explosives & secondaries
RPG-22 — $500 · one-shot punch
Cheap breakthrough tool. Perfect for deleting a stacked doorway or panic-clearing a capture huddle. One-shot nature means timing beats spam. Keep it as a secondary plan, not your only identity. Stack with GL-06 knowledge so you pick the right clear tool per angle.
RPG-7 — $2000 · reloadable launcher
Premium clear tool. Reloadability wins longer fights and multi-wave holds. Expensive—buy after your primary rifle feels finished. Devastating with Assault grenade pressure or MG area denial.
Pistols (Makarov, M1911 via pass, VIP HDM suppressed, Skorpion-style machine pistols) and close breakers like KS-23 (Medic / CQB showcase) are finishers and panic swaps. They rarely outrank a planned primary, but a fast secondary saves you when the mag runs dry mid-trench.
Suggested buy order (credits)
- Live on AKS-74 while you learn spawns and checkpoints.
- Save for AKM ($850) as the first serious upgrade.
- Add AS-VAL ($1250) or AKS-74U if you fight indoors / want compact CQB.
- Grab RPG-22 ($500) or GL-06 for objective clears when you have spare cash.
- Fund a starter optic/grip via Attachments.
- Consider RPK / RPD / PKM when you main holds or Machine Gunner.
- RPG-7 ($2000) last among explosives unless your squad needs reloadable boom now.
VIP (599 Robux) helps the credit/XP climb; it does not replace gun skill. No Team Limit (199) is for party stacks. There are still no official codes as of September 2026—see Codes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for The Lost Front players.
What is the best gun for close quarters?
AS-VAL still leads; AKS-74U is the compact CQB alternative. Watch the mid-page tier video and compare on this Weapon Tier List.
Should I skip AKS-74 entirely?
No. It is free and teaches fundamentals. Upgrade to AKM or AKS-74U when ready—see Best Loadouts.
Is M16A1 worth 399 Robux?
Only if you want the American Guns kit and already enjoy the game. Credit rifles like AKM/AS-VAL/AKS-74U cover most metas without the pass.
RPK, RPD, or PKM for holding points?
All three work for suppression. PKM is the heavy hold tool; RPK and RPD are flexible choke LMGs. Match them to Machine Gunner advice.
Where does GL-06 rank?
Launcher utility for stacks and bunkers—strong at that job, not a rifle replacement. Compare with RPG-22 and read Attachments after the mega-update.
Where can I read full weapon stats and attachments?
Use the weapons guide, the Attachments Guide, and Updates, then refine kits on Best Loadouts.
