Below is the full PC control reference, drone overlay, and practical tips so your aim is not fighting your keyboard. Use it with Getting Started on day one and Drone Operator when you unlock the class.

The game launched June 17, 2025 and continues development past 83 million visits. Binds listed here match the widely documented PC layout; if a patch remaps a key, recheck after updates and keep muscle memory flexible. Cheaters are permanently banned—no alternate “scripts” required to play well.

These nine binds cover almost every infantry life. Everything else is decision-making: when to sprint, when to crouch-peek, when to reload, and when to break cinematic mode because a capture needs you now.

Drone / FPV controls

Drone Operator (Rank 16) swaps your priorities in the air. Practice in the FPV Drone Game and use K to activate practice flight until takeoffs feel boring.

When you exit FPV, immediately remember infantry binds again. Many deaths happen in the three seconds after a drone run when players still think W means “only forward thrust” and forget strafe gunplay.

Golden rule: stop to shoot

Sprint accuracy is a trap. Shift+W gets you across open ground; it does not win precision duels. Break sprint, plant, ADS with RMB when the angle is long, then fire. Close-range panic fights can stay hip-fire, but even then a half-second stop tightens the first burst from AKS-74 or AS-VAL.

Drill it in empty moments: sprint a trench segment, release sprint, crouch or stand stable, fire a controlled burst, reload behind cover. That loop is the difference between 70-damage hits registering and tracers painting dirt.

Reload, ammo, and F looting

Reload with R before you swing a wide ruin corner if your mag is low. Mid-swing reloads lose duels. After you win a room, tap F to loot magazines so the next checkpoint fight starts topped off. Crouch, jump, and peek hygiene

C crouch shrinks your profile on trench lips and window lines. Do not crouch-walk everywhere; it is slower and predictable. Mix stand peeks and crouch peeks so Marksman players cannot pre-aim one height. Space jump clears low debris and can jiggle timing, but bunny-hopping into a Machine Gunner lane is free death—jump with purpose.

Hold angles with minimal exposure. Shoulder-peek information, then commit. If a drone is friendly overhead, wait for the scout call before wide swinging.

Cinematic mode (H) — when to use it

H toggles cinematic camera for clips and screenshots. It is not a combat buff. Never enter cinematic mode while defending a live checkpoint or flying a drone in a contested sky. Use it after rounds, in spawn during downtime, or when recording guide footage. If you hit H by accident mid-fight, hit it again and reorient immediately.

Sensitivity and hardware tips

Roblox mouse sensitivity is personal, but trench FPS favors readable tracking over flick chaos. Lower sensitivity until you can track a strafing Assault across a medium trench without overshooting. Disable acceleration in Windows if you still use it. Wired mice beat unstable wireless polling for competitive sessions. Headphones help against drone audio and flanking footsteps even when the map is loud.

On laptop trackpads you can play casually, but expect pain in Marksman duels—borrow a mouse if you are grinding Rank 16.

Team and pass context that affects controls

No control scheme fixes a disconnected squad. If you stack friends, No Team Limit (199 Robux) keeps you on one color so voice calls match spawns. VIP’s XP boost gets you to Drone Operator faster so you actually use the FPV binds in real matches. American Guns changes what you shoot, not how you shoot—still stop before firing.

Practice routine (15 minutes)

1. 2 min — Walk trenches using only WASD + C peeks, no shooting.
2. 3 min — Sprint segments, hard stop, ADS fire on static debris.
3. 3 min — Reload discipline: shoot short bursts, R behind cover, F loot if available.
4. 5 min — FPV practice with K: W forward, E up, S down, A/D strafe, mouse orient.
5. 2 min — Hot-swap mindset: exit drone thinking, immediately strafe-shoot as infantry.
